【Announcement】Riding electrical bicycles and e-scooters etc. are prohibited in our campus.
Dear faculty and students,
According to the Article 5 Section 3 of our Regulations of Parking in NTUST, “Except for official vehicles, bicycles, vehicles for the disabled, and approved VIP vehicles, construction vehicles or special occasion applications, all vehicles without parking permits are prohibited from entering the campus.”
Some faculty and students have reported that the fast riding speed of electricity-assisted bikes and e-scooters may lead to dangerous in our campus. To maintain pedestrian safety of our faculty and students in our campus, riding electrical bicycles, electricity-assisted bikes, e-scooters and two-wheeled balance scooters, etc. are prohibited. These vehicles except for electrical bicycles can walk with while entering the campus. Addition, please be sure to slow down while riding the bike and must give way to pedestrians.
The electricity-assisted bike shall apply for a parking permit and post it on the obvious spot and park in the campus bicycle parking areas. Those who do not follow the regulations of riding speed (speed limit below 10km/hr) or parking randomly will be regarded as violations and will be issued and locked in accordance with the regulations.
