“Ari Saumai” The New Series of Activities Regarding Taiwanese Indigenous Culture by NTUST Aboriginal Center

Are you curious about the aboriginal culture in Taiwan? We invite you to attend the series of indigenous related activities presented by NTUST Indigenous Center. The series include “Ari Saumai: Taluan Cultural Space” opening ceremony, exhibitions, indigenous music and dance performance, and workshops.

“Ari Saumai: Taluan Cultural Space” is officially opening on October 26th. We have designed "a new corridor" in the public space. “Taluan” means "youth gathering space" the Amis language. In this space, we will present exhibitions of different theme every season. The theme of this season is Weaving a love line. "Alofo (Lover Bag)" comes from the Amis traditional culture, and it is a gift to convey love. We are exhibiting 14 “Alofos” made by indigenous students, and each of them carries a unique romantic story.

Besides, the series of “Ari Sauma” will begin one after another this week, which include the third tribal learning achievement exhibition, indigenous market stalls, music and dance performances, workshops and other activities.

This time, we are opening to all school faculty and students at NTUST. Anyone who participates in this series of activities and checks in during the event will be given an indigenous delicacy or an exquisite gift (First come first served).
