【Forwarded Message】2026 CTCI Foundation Science and Technology Scholarships
The application information for the 2026 CTCI Foundation Science and Technology Scholarships is now available. Attached is the guideline and the application for this scholarship, please read the following guideline thoroughly if you wish to apply for it.
Students who are receiving an NTUST Scholarship or scholarships awarded by the Taiwan government or other government agencies are eligible to apply.
Scholarships Quota and Amount
- The Research Scholarship for Overseas Students: The total number of recipients is 15-30. Each recipient will be awarded NTD 150,000 and a Certificate of Merit.
- Overseas Student Employment in Taiwan Grant:
- Department Institute Nomination: The total number of recipients is 10. Each recipient will be awarded NTD 100,000.
- Previous recipients of the CTCI Foundation “Research Scholarship for Overseas Graduate Students”: The total number of recipients is 10. Each recipient will be awarded NTD 100,000.
Eligibilities
- Research Scholarship for International Graduate Students:
A. Master’s and doctoral students who are currently enrolled at Taiwan Tech in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Department of Civil and Construction Engineering, Graduate Institute of Automation and Control, Department of Chemical Engineering, Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering, Department of Electrical Engineering, Graduate Institute of Electro-Optical Engineering, Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering, Graduate Institute of Applied Science and Technology.
B. Each semester’s average academic score since matriculation to the research institute needs to be above 80 points; if the university uses grades instead of points, applicants need to submit the score and grade comparison table of the university for evaluation.
C. Each department or institute is entitled to recommend one candidate.
- Overseas Student Employment in Taiwan Grant
A. Master’s and doctoral graduates of the current or immediately preceding academic year from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Department of Civil and Construction Engineering, Graduate Institute of Automation and Control, Department of Chemical Engineering, Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering, Department of Electrical Engineering, Graduate Institute of Electro-Optical Engineering, Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering, Graduate Institute of Energy and Sustainability Technology, Graduate Institute of Color and Illumination Technology, Graduate Institute of Applied Science and Technology.
B. An average academic score of 80 or above for each semester during graduate study, and employment in Taiwan in scientific research or technology-related work (excluding postdoctoral research).
C. Applicants who have already participated in the “International Industrial Talents Education Special Program (INTENSE Program)” are not eligible to apply for this grant so as to avoid duplicate subsidies.
- Department Institute Nomination:Each department or institute is entitled to recommend one candidate.
- Previous recipients of the CTCI Foundation “Research Scholarship for Overseas Graduate Students”: If you have previously received the CTCI Foundation Research Scholarship for Overseas Graduate Students, you are exempt from department or institute nomination. Applicants should apply directly to CTCI on their own. Please carefully review the Application Information on the official website; if you have any questions, please contact CTCI.

- Online registration (Starts from July 1, 2026): Please complete the online registration and upload the required documents.
- Hardcopy of the required documents: Download all the application and required documents from the online system and submit it to your department office. For the submission period please refers to your department's website.
- Your application documents will be evaluated by your department. Each department can only recommend one candidate for each scholarship.
