Important Notice: Maintaining a clean and orderly Campus Environment through Proper Waste Sorting and dumping
Dear Faculty, Staff, and Students,
The Office of General Affairs has installed public trash cans in various public spaces for the disposal of small, miscellaneous waste (such as food scraps, tissues, etc.) while moving around campus. However, violations regarding waste disposal by a small number of individuals have caused significant unnecessary trouble for cleaning staff and keeping our environment clean.
The Office of General Affairs hereby reiterates the waste disposal regulations for public areas. Please ensure strict compliance with the following:
Disposal Guidelines for Large Quantities of Waste
Large amounts of waste generated by administrative units, department offices, or student classes following space cleanups or events are strictly prohibited from being stacked next to or stuffed into public trash cans. Please use the following methods instead:
- 1. Coordinate with the Waste Collection Vehicle Schedule: Please ensure proper waste sorting and dispose of trash according to the school’s scheduled collection route and times.
- The campus garbage truck collects general waste and recyclables at fixed times and locations Monday through Friday.

- 2. Dispose Directly at the Recycling Field: Alternatively, please bring waste to the disposal site during its operating hours.

- 3. Request Special Collection: For specific bulk waste or unusable items (such as scrapped desks, chairs, or large-scale consumables), please apply for project-based disposal with the Office of General Affairs in accordance with the university’s "Campus Public Space Safety Management Guidelines".
Maintaining a clean campus is the responsibility of every member. If unauthorized individuals are found illegally dumping large amounts of waste in public areas, this office will review surveillance footage and release the images to clarify responsibility. Depending on the severity of the violation, penalties will be issued according to school regulations.
