How long have you been or even lived in Taiwan? And how much do you know about the history of Taiwan?
In the 2021 Democracy Index rankings by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), Taiwan has been ranked as the No. 1 "full democracy" in Asia and eighth place globally. The index ranking could mean something. However, the nation, Taiwan was not always this liberal and tolerant of different voices, especially in the White Terror Period. History makes past, present and future.
We honorably invite the oral historian – Mr. Fred him-san Chin from Malaysia, having been persecuted in the White Terror Period to give the lesson about the history that had been silenced and scarified during that period. Join the lecture to explore, discover and be part of the truth of history.
