【Information Security】Do not arbitrarily set the your IP to open direct connection off campus.
1. According to the Information Security Law, the campus network IP is connected from outside the campus. Adopt "all prohibited, special circumstances open", set by each unit according to their needs.
2. The computer center conducts information security scanning on campus IP from outside the campus. It found some service IPs that should not be opened. Therefore, the supervisors, professors, colleagues, and classmates of each unit are requested to carefully evaluate whether to open IP for direct connection from outside the school.
3. In the following situations, it is strongly recommended not to open IP and connect directly outside the campus:
3.1 Remote desktop requirements; it is recommended to apply for a VPN connection.
3.2 The unit or laboratory builds NAS and the users are teachers, students and staff on campus; it is recommended to apply for a VPN connection.
3.3 The unit or laboratory builds FTP and the users are teachers, students and staff on campus; it is recommended to apply for a VPN connection.
4. If the unit or laboratory has important information and has a budget, it is recommended to build a hardware firewall to increase its security.
5. Internet of Things,IoT (network printers, network cameras, access control devices, environmental control systems, wireless network base stations, wireless routers, etc.) cannot be set to open IP and connect directly outside the school.
