【OIA】NTUST X WFSH - Cultural Experiences


The beauty of local culture is that it is always unique and fascinating. At Wanfang High School, you will get the chance to experience Taiwanese culture firsthand. You may have heard of Red House in Ximending, a red-brick structure of 113 years. Besides that, there are many other historical places in Taipei you must visit.
 
1. Date: November 26 th December 9 th , 10 th , 15 th & 17 th
2. Time: Please refer to the chart
3. Eligibility: International students enrolled in Taiwan Tech
4. Host: Taipei Wanfang Senior High, Taiwan Tech
5. Registration: Please fill out the form before Sunday 21 th  November by 3 pm. Confirmed attendees will receive a confirmation letter from OIA on event details.

November 26th

from 10 to 12 a.m.

Brick building - building a historical place like Taipei City Wall - North Gate by mini bricks with the senior high students.
  • While visiting the historical places or building replicas with toy bricks, we can get to know their history and share our feelings about them with each other. Also, we welcome you to tell us about the historical places in your country.
  • The International students will need to pay for the meal expense ($120 NTD). Taiwan Tech will reimburse the fee thereafter. (Please retain the receipts.)

 

  • The OIA will bring the international students to the event.

December 9th

From 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Culture sharing - share your experience in Taiwan, and the culture from your country. You will need to prepare some photos and share it with three classes of students.

December 10th

from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Do A Good Thing for the Ocean - going for a field trip with an expert guide, visiting popular places; like National Museum of Marine Science & Technology , the Chaojing Park or Badouzi Train Station

December 15th

From 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Culture sharing - share your experience in Taiwan, and the culture from your country. You will need to prepare some photos and share it with a class of students.

December 17th

from 10 to 12 a.m.

Clay playing - building a historical place using clay with the high scholl students.
