Greetings from Vienna!

On behalf of University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien, we cordially
invite you to our International Week on Education@ Home – Opportunities and
Challenges in International Teaching and Research in January 2022.

In the last year, the nature of teaching and research changed
significantly: Distance learning is suddenly on everyone's lips,
location-independent teaching and research are state of the art. By
necessity, the concept of internationalization at home has made its way into
Higher Education in 2020. By now, we are used to work, teach, learn, and
meet the world at home. No problem in theory, but in practice? The technical
field thrives on development, interaction, testing and revision – does the
same hold true for our “digital twin” of home office?

This international event provides a unique opportunity to share innovative
ideas and best practices with colleagues from a range of other higher
education institutions. We hope that we will get to see many of you in
person again for our annual international event hosted at the UAS Technikum
Wien from January 18 to 20, 2022. As the COVID 19 situation is hard to
predict at this moment, we reserve the right to move the event online or
design a hybrid, if necessary.
