2020 Taiwan Tech Newsletter issue 01 is out now!

 

2020 is a challenging year for all global citizens. We are grateful that Taiwan Tech is still open, and that we are still leading a normal life during these uncertain times. Some good news is that newly-admitted international students from certain countries may join us for the upcoming semester. We are looking forward to welcome our international freshmen at Taiwan Tech!

 

The cover story of this issue "Taiwan Tech in the time of COVID-19" portrays our university in an extraordinary time. You will read about the prevention measures that were implemented to protect the health and wellbeing of Taiwan Tech students and staff, about life under quarantine, and about leisure time activities under social distancing rules.

 

Under Taiwan Tech Research you will find a report about Professor Hwang Gwo-Jen’s contributions in the field of ubiquitous and mobile learning. After a highly successful career that span over 30 years, he is still enthusiastic and full of passion toward education!

 

In Taiwan Tech People, we interviewed Sean Kilmartin. The Irish national has been the head coach of the Taiwan Tech basketball teams, and a PE instructor at Taiwan Tech since 2018. Learn how he started his career at Taiwan Tech and how he feels about this!
