A. Qualification:
- Foreign students: All foreign students except for graduate students in their second year and doctoral students in their second, third, or fourth year who have been assigned a dorm bed in the fall semester of the 109 school year.
- Domestic students: Domestic students whose household registration (more than one year) is NOT in Taipei City and the fourteen districts of New Taipei City (Xizhi, Shenkeng, Shiding, Xindian, Yonghe, Zhonghe, Tucheng, Shulin, Taishan, Xinzhuang, Banqiao, Sanchong, Luzhou, Wugu)
*household registration date: until August 31, 2020
*Please don’t apply if you have been assigned a bed.
Note: If you have been assigned a bed or have been expelled from dorm, please DON’T apply to be put on the waiting list. (If you still register, your name will automatically be deleted from the system.
B. Period to Stay at Dorm I:
The fall semester of the 109 school year (Sep 2020 to Jan 2021; only half a year)
C. Room Type and Price:
Six-people room at Dorm I (NTD 14,000 a semester; no in-room bathroom; public bathroom only)
D. Application Process:
- The vacancies currently available are reserved for students in the spring semester of the 109 school year (i.e., domestic graduate students in their second year and foreign students). If those students don’t matriculate as expected or those who are supposed to stay at dorm in the fall semester of the 109 school year don’t check in, their vacancies will be released for the spring semester of the 109 school year. The waiting list decided by lot-drawing this time sets the priority for who can get the vacancies.
- Application period: Please register online at:https://cour01.ntust.edu.tw/DormQuestionnaire/ from 9 a.m., June 3, 2020 (Wed.) to 1 p.m., June 8, 2020 (Mon.).
- The waiting list is to be announced in “What’s New” on the Office of Student Affairs website 4 p.m., June 9, 2020 (Tue.).
- For domestic students who are put on the waiting list, please hand in your household registration transcript (original copy, photocopy, or photo) either in person or by mail from 9 a.m., June 10, 2020 (Wed.) to noon, June 15, 2020 (Mon.). The household registration transcript should be applied after January 1, 2020, and please mark in the margin your number in the waiting list, department, student number, name, and phone number. Those who don’t do so will be removed from the waiting list, and the vacancies will be given to those behind them in the list.
- The final list will be announced before noon, June 17, 2020 (Wed.) on “What’s New” on the Office of Student Affairs website, and e-mails (information including when to pay, how to pay, and how to check in) will be sent to those who are in the list.
- If you are assigned a bed in the spring semester of the 109 school year, your room and bed may be different from what you get in the fall semester, and there is no room for negotiation.
- If there is any delay in the application process, it will be announced in “What’s New” on the Office of Student Affairs website.
