- The Asia-Pacific Traditional Arts Festival has been held for 21 editions since its launch in 2000. The 22nd edition, themed “Where All Waters Meet,” brings together interdisciplinary music, dance, theater, and folk arts from India, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan. By closely connecting historical myths, religious beliefs and celebrations, and reverence for nature, the festival brings traditional arts from across the Asia-Pacific region to the Yilan Park of the National Center for Traditional Arts, showcasing diverse cultural memories and artistic expressions of humanity’s coexistence with water.
- The festival features special performances, international collaborative street parades, cultural experiences, a themed market, and hands-on workshops, allowing visitors to move beyond watching performances and actively engage in the cultural experiences.
